Joseph Houlders

Joe has written for all of The Bare Project’s shows in one way or another. Writing tools: a pen that can write in space (you never know), and a refurbished Thinkpad T440 (bereft of ‘Enter’ key, but a real workhorse). Attended the Royal Court Playwriting Group – still milking that. Credo: Generally wanting fiction to do its job and make the flightless fly etc. Known to misquote a dead psychiatrist by the name of Karl. Other side of life: studying for a PhD in philosophy of mental illness, talking about empathy/certainty/self-interpretation. Working on two new plays: September 1000 and Blooper.
