Luka is a one-child search party navigating blizzards to find his bear, Alpa. His parents race after him into an ever-expanding winter, fearing for his life. An immersive piece about looking for what has been lost and finding warmth.

Bear with Snow was our first production and brought our initial team together. It was an immersive, promenade performance in which the audience became circus-goers and then the search party, searching for Alpa the Bear through paper snow filled streets.

We then took a version of this piece to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in 2013, adapted to fit a studio space, rather than a sprawling gallery. In this version the piece was called Goodbye Sun and Bear.

As temperatures plummet in Sheffield, this timely offering from The Bare Project is innovative, interactive fun

Steve Grigg, Sheffield Star, December 2012

As if Angela Carter, queen of magic realism, had written ‘Where’s My Teddy?’, ‘Goodbye Sun and Bear’ by The Bare Project takes the audience on an unexpected journey through the snow.

Ed Fringe Review, August 2013

A beautifully whimsical piece put on by The Bare Project that brings a little extra sunlight into this year’s Fringe.

Ed Fest Magazine, August 2013

Enchanting…with great artistic vision.
