The autumn is often a pretty transitional time. The leaves turn, the skies get grey, projects come out of summer hibernation and the students return, with fresh pens and binders and expectations. In many ways mid September feels more like a new year than the relatively arbitrary 1st of January.
This is also a transitional time for The Bare Project. We introduce a new producer to our team, we move into a new home (complete with a Bare office) and we begin the daunting process of registering as an official company. We’re moving forward fast and have two exciting projects in the womb. Interestingly, they too are about transition.
One celebrates the history and future of Sheffield University’s student union. We go back in time across four floors, illuminated coloured balloons leading the way to celebrate a history of new beginnings.
Another celebrates the transition from teenage years into adulthood. We wander through the ages again to celebrate the birthdays of Wilde, Green and Plath amongst others.
So, for The Bare Project it does feel like a new year. So hello year ahead. And from the haze of admin, ideas and excitement I feel you may have many treats in store.
